12 team Fantrax H2H partial keeper (keep 8 + 10 farm <=82 GP and <= age 24)
Start: 2 C, 2 LW, 2 RW, 3 F, 4 D, 2 G, 6 BN
Stats: G = 4, A = 3, PPP = 3, SHG = 3, +/- = 1, PIM = 0.5, SOG = 0.2, BLK = 0.5 / W = 3, GA = -1, SV = 0.3, SHO = 3

I'm the defending champ and have pulled off a couple trades in the past week to gain back some picks I traded last season. Sent Lehtonen for a 2nd and Green for a 1st. This leaves me with the following group of potential keepers:

Giroux, Tavares, Parise, Kopitar, Duchene, Zetterberg, Weber, Miller, Luongo.

I also have Brown, Burrows, Okposo, and Dubinsky who could be keeper worthy on other teams.

My current farm situation:

Tarasenko, Markstrom, Bernier, Bjugstad, Murphy, Orlov, Colborne, Josefson, Watson, Filatov.

I'm trying to do one of two things: either trade a fringe keeper (like Duchene or Zets) plus a keeper for an upgraded keeper; or trade a fringe keeper for a high pick. My offer of Giroux + Zets for Malkin was shot down. I also have an offer on the table of Giroux + Zets for Crosby pending the other manager's approval. I offered Kopitar, Zetterberg, Brown for Stamkos + pick. You get the idea. Any suggestions as to how I can solve my keeper conundrum? I also would like to take advantage of my fringe keepers (particularly Brown, who should be worth a decent pick). What kind of pick should I expect for these guys: Zetterberg, Duchene, Brown, Okposo, Burrows, Dubinsky. Thanks for your help.

Yo bro Keep working on the 2 for 1 deals and see if any pan out. Then aim high for draft picks. Try and figure out everyone's keep 8 and do a mock draft of all the left over players. This will give you a rough idea where players like Zetterberg & Duchene would go. A 1st or early 2nd rd perhaps? Do this for all your players and start putting packages together for the needful GM's.

I think you might be overvaluing those guys who you say might be keeper worthy on another team - Brown being the best of them but without hits in this league the list is marginal in trade value as I see it.

There are 96 pro roster players kept and perhaps 60 forwards so if another team is looking to upgrade their keepers they don't really want to spend much on these guys because they lose the pick and then have to drop one of their own keepers who should definitely be a lesser player than what they are trading for but still of some value. If you get a 3rd rounder for Brown and anything as good as a 5th rounder for any of the others I think you are doing pretty good.

As far as compressing your keepers, you might consider moving two of them (Kopitar and Zetts maybe) for a D guy like Letang and a pick of some sort. It might be easier to get some trade action going by targeting a D guy.

How did you win with Green on your team lol. I'd drop Zetterberg and keep all those other good players. I wouldn't ditch G. Wrist injury shouldnt be too bad to recover from.
