Ah...the wonderful feeling that comes about when you don't own a first-round pick yet somehow end up landing a first-round quality player lol. Very solid snag.

Holy mother of Godson that is one hell of a bag of picks. It makes my rebuild effort look quite pitiful!!
Noone can help but pick Yakupov with the #1.
How deep do you guys think this draft is in general?
In a 14 team league with 30 farm spots (5 goalies max and skaters have ~90 games before they lose their farm eligibility) I have picks #:1,14,50,51,57,71,84,85,100.
My prospect roster (with one empty slot):
Glennie, Markus Granlund, Sheahan, B. Smith, Deslauriers, Nyquist, Tatar, Grachev, Kreider, Mursak, Coyle, Goncharov, Peterson, Palushaj, Ryan Bourque, Jeremy Welsh, F. Hamilton, Kuznetsov, Ouellet (or Quellet if you prefer), Brian Flynn, Huberdeau, Puempel, Beaulieu, Grimaldi, Sateri, Gibson, Lack, Lehner, Stalock.
How many of those picks do you think will be useful/who should I drop?

While searching for advice and opinions on who to draft in my keepers league I stumbled onto this forum and I found this subjuce quite helpfull. I probably didn't pick any differently than I would have otherwise but it was helpfull nonetheless so I created an account just to post the results of our draft.

1 Yakupov
2 Grigorenko
3 Granlund
4 Galchenyuk
5 Tarasenko
6 Kreider
7 Stone
8 Nyquist
9 Bartschie
10 Kuzenetsov
11 Dumba
12 Reilly
13 Teravainen
14 Forsberg

This is for a points only keeper league in year two

Cheers

There are a number of Dobber members in the Canadian Dynasty Hockey League(league in my signature). This draft was for 2012 draftees, plus any prospects (less than 70 games for skaters, less than 35 games for goalies) not currently owned in our league.

I am the Boston Bruins, and at #5 was torn between J.Schultz and T.
Teräväinen. During the draft I traded V.Tarasenko and a 2013 4th Rd pick for Teräväinen and R.Strome, so for now at least I have both.

Round 1
1. Troisdorf: Nail Yakupov
2. Winnipeg: Ryan Murray
3. Jyvaskyla: Alex Galchenyuk
4. Troisdorf: Mikhail Grigorenko
5. Troisdorf: Filip Forsberg
6. Troisdorf: Teuvo Teravainen
7. San Diego: Matt Dumba
8. Troisdorf: Andrei Vasilevsky
9. Bratislava: Zemgus Girgensons
10. Rochester: Slater Koekkoek
11. Troisdorf: Malcolm Subban
12. Winnipeg: Griffin Reinhart

Round 2
13. Troisdorf: Johnny Gaudreau
14. Winnipeg: Henrik Samuelsson
15. Jyvaskyla: Olli Maatta
16. Bratislava: Cody Ceci
17. Wertheim: Oscar Dansk
18. Keltinmaki: Radek Faksa
19. San Diego: Thomas Wilson
20. Lugano: Tomas Hertl
21. Wertheim: Tanner Pearson
22. Rochester: Jacob Trouba
23. Halmstad: Morgan Rielly

So we're a 12 team league and Troisdorf blew up the team this past season. I had what became #11 overall but sent that to him along with Johansen, Tarasenko and Jake Allen to get Backstrom (WSH), Doan and a pick last summer that got me Silfverberg. He also sent off Kipper, Sharp, Brodeur, Girardi and his first rounder last year (turned into Strome) for five more first rounders, plus he already had #1 overall because his team was shit this year. I also made a few more trades with him where he got my De Haan, Butler, Hishon, SKostitsyn and Blum and I got Pominville, Phaneuf and Rene Bourque. So he already had a bunch of solid young pieces and I guess we'll be watching out for this guy in a couple of years

But yeah, I got Rielly at #23 and I'm targeting more D for my next pick at #35. I'm looking at Brodin, Lindholm, Sproul or McNabb and if all of them disappear there's Brunner, Spooner, Collberg and Stalock. Klefbom is still available as well... and Barberio, Khudobin, Prince, Connauton and Cervenka. And the rest of the 2012 class. I'll get someone interesting Then I'll probably drop Puempel so I can make two FA pickups from all the guys still around.
This is phenomenal. How does Rielly drop to 23. Also who the F is Johnny Gaudreau?

Gaudreau is a Flames prospect. Small but very skilled. The guy who took him is a big Flames fan.
