This particular incident wouldn't have occurred had he not been in the KHL. That is a fact. He would not have been on that ice at that exact point in time. Of course he could get hit in a similar fashion anywhere he plays. If he was in the AHL, that exact play wouldn't have happened (and there are dirtier incidents by KHL goons than there are in the AHL).

I think Ev is onto something actually. You don't think there are career KHL-ers who view these temp players through an envious, if not spiteful, eye?


Not that you can't get hurt in the A, but I think you're setting yourself up as a target by playing as a known temp, in a league that is the NHL's primary competition for quality talent.
