I wonder if they'll bring up the NHL lockout in their dealings. Probably not.

Can't wait for another season. Although I wish they pulled an Arrested Development and released everything at once....or at least in 4 episode packages (which I think Arrested should have done)

I hope that since the season doesn't come out until October that it will allow them to demonstrate the agony that the replacement referees put fantasy players and the football community in general through. Even though the show is more just about the characters than actual football (fantasy football no less) I'd still feel like it was missing something if it didn't include at least some reference to the scabs and more importantly the absurdity of Monday Night, seeing as how Twitter basically exploded afterwards.

The show isn't scripted. Prior to the first season, only one of the actors had actually played fantasy football. For the 2nd season, they all were actually in a fantasy league, but were just learning the ropes. For the 3rd season, there was the potential of a lockout, so they prepared material for the show's season that didn't have much to do with fantasy football. This season, I expect much more fantasy and football humour.

Last season their big ad-line before the season was that The League would be back even if the NFL wasn't and then they ended up making reference to the fact that they were lucky to even be having a season during the first episode so it would seem to me that they will work this stuff in. I don't know much about TV writing/producing but it would seem to me that the writers basically have an outline of overarching themes and storylines but can ultimately plug stuff like replacement refs and lockout jokes in at any time.
