This is what I figured when I saw that there is no GP limit in the settings. The weekly roster prevents streaming.

I didn't set up the Smythe league correctly though.
It needs to be corrected. (Gates, I'll send you a PM, please help.)

I figure the waiver/FA budgets will prevent streaming as well, depending on who you want to grab. This is the first time I've been in a league with both of these settings.

Yes - I really hope we have a season because I'm interested in these new settings.
I haven't done a "weekly league" in years now... and the FAAB budget is completely new to me. I'm going to have to go to the forums and ask questions like a NOOB!!!

Now it's our turn to write long replies to find solutions to complex problems.

Request to the Dobber 3-Tier Veterans:

Can somebody explain two league functions:

1. Weekly Roster Set-up.
If the first game on Friday is at 7:00pm (EST), by what time does a team need to have their roster set by?
Does the starting roster need to be set by end of Thursday?
Or... can it be modified right up to 6:59pm (EST) on the Friday?

2. FAAB ($100)
Can somebody explain this? How does it work?
If you try to claim a player on Tuesday (say), will you get him by Wednesday? Thursday?
When does a "succesfully bid-on" player show up on your roster?
If your bid is not succesful, how soon will you know - and will there be time to try to bid/add for another player?

1) Thursday midnight Eastern. Teams are then locked a minute past midnight (Friday morning).

2) FAAB - Think of it this way : You have $100 to spend on waivers and FA. Bids are weekly. You can put in a claim of $0 or $25 (heck even $100!) on any available player. Should you win the bid (even with a zero dollar bid) you win that player and can place him on your team (dropping another of course - unless through IR).

Example : I bid...

Player A - $0
Player B - $0
Player C - $25
Player D - $9

Someone else bids...

Player A - $1
Player C - $20
Player D - $10

Results :

I get Player B at $0 and Player C at $25.
He gets Player A at $1 and Player D at $10.

Again, bids are weekly so it gives a chance for everyone to place a bid. You can either go for the player of the week / hot streak or find hidden gems. Your money, your call.
