Good talent but I do like the Dustin Brown comparison. His upside is probably around 80 but I don't see him reaching that in St.Louis with their scoring by committee approach. Not enough pick to go around.

Safely say 60-65

I'd say his upside is 85 points, he plays a lot like Claude Giroux and should be a safe bet for 50 points in his first year with the Blues.

He's a very dynamic player.

My prediction. Semin 2.0. Hopefully with more drive and determination.

Obviously hard to say but I think he will settle in around 65-75 pts, with maybe a career year of 80-85. I wouldn't expect too much in year one, maybe 35-40 max.

(The 'Pull a Filatov' option makes me wonder what similar threads on Filatov's point predictions looked like 3-4 years ago - I bet most were saying 80+)

Filatov is the last Russian I will ever draft. Too much s*#t, and baggage.

bad comparison...

filatov had skill, but he was unmotivated and is a big pu$$y...

he wasn't going to make the nhl regardless of what country he was born in.

tarasenko's skill set is exactly opposite of filatov, he is coachable and a lot of people are undervaluing him. big time.

a lot of people may be overvaluing him too...

St. Louis will change from scoring by committee to scoring by Tarasenko in a few years.

Nobody is undervaluing him in my league. The caveat with Russians is if they don't get their way, they have a natural out in the KHL. Until I join a KHL fantasy league, Russian players won't be on my draft list (until one sticks a puts up points, then like a retard I will make the same stupid mistake and draft them like their going out of style ).
