I am a dope sometimes!

Turns out I got the #4 pick not the 3. I'm really hoping it does not got Nails, Huberdeau, Granlund.

I don't really want Galchenyuk since I am very strong with center (Tavares, Backstrom, Duchene, Turris) and I need winger depth this year.

Unless I can trade up, think I'm going to take Bartschi.

Maybe I take BPA and go Galchenyuk. Still undecided.

Glad to see people are going Bartschi over Kreider? Why is Kreider listed as a C on ESPN?

I don't have a problem going with Baertschi over Galchenyuk, they're both loaded with potential.

Galchenyuk is the best player available. Since prospects are longer-term investments, ignore the position when drafting. Your team could change completely by the time he arrives in your lineup.

I think Baertschi could surprise here, but your problem is a nice one to have.

But I am probably influenced by a recent inaugural prospect (under 40 GP) draft, where our top 20 looked like this:

Yakupov
Tarasenko
Baertschi
Granlund
Hamilton
Galchenyuk
Huberdeau
Kreider
Markstrom
Strome
Grigorenko
Ellis
Etem
Zibanejad
Kuznetsov
Schiefele
Smith
Schultz
Lack
Despres

(Multi-cat including hits/blocks)

Traded up to #2 and am taking Huberdeau.

Swapped #4 for #2 for a swap of #17 for #19.
