The Russian Roulette of fantasy football keepers begins...

Matthews was climbing into top 5-6 overall territory, too - which was too high for someone who's really not proven elite talent yet. He was going to be the primary ball carrier and still is, most likely, but now you can get him at fair value in the late 2nd or early 3rd potentially and that's good.

I'd personally be thrilled with Matthews in the 3rd and someone like Ike Redman or Kevin Smith (larger roles initially) as my RB pairing for ONE slot. I feel like I can spend a 3rd rounder and a 7th rounder and get a 1st round RB performance out of that and that's pretty cool.

There are a number of backs who are good and obvious plays to start the year, now pair them with RB who will (hopefully) finish strong and you've made your starting roster slot a bonus situation.

If Matthews broke his collar-bone, he WILL NOT be even close to 80% at all during the season.. RB is a tough position to come back from an injury.. I can't wait for someone in my draft to take him in the early rounds.. Waste a pick, one less guy I have to worry about contending with me!!
