I've posted my other 2 draft but this one shocked me beyond all belief.. I was actually drafting for my fiance who told me today "you need to set up an auto draft for me" we went out so I couldn't draft myself but here are the results.. I would have grabbed a lot of these players well before when I actually got them had I been able to attend the draft.. lucky for her(me) i guess
14 team league - 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 K, 1 D/SPT 1. D. Brees 2. J. Jones 3. R. Mathews 4. M. Colston 5. D. Martin 6. T. Gonzalez (one of my least favorite picks) 7. M. Bush 8. S. Rice 9. D. Wilson 10. J. Dwyer 11. E. Royster 12. M. Williams (my least favorite pick.. missed him in the ranking order apparently) 13. A. Jeffreys 14. Cowboys D/SPT 15. A. Green 16. S. Graham Is my excitement justified or a bit mis placed? I feel I have: Elite QB Top end RB's (after Mathews gets back in week 2?) Top end WR's Good RB gambles in the late round (solid handcuffs to a lot of other starters) Weakness: Starting TE (hopefully can trade a later round RB for an upgrade later in the year) Weak WR's options outside of my top 3 unless Jeffreys is as good as he appears to be (doubtful considering he is a rookie) I'd love some additional analysis!

I find I drafted a few guys like you.....Colston, Martin, Bush. I think Colston will have a career year. 29 and Drews main target other than the TE. Martin reports just keep getting better and better every day, and Bush is a RB1 when and if Forte goes down. Solid team.
Can't go wrong with Brees and Jones will be the 2nd best WR in the game this year. I could not ignore Gronks 17 TD's at #14 after C.Johnson at #9. But, very good tho. Good luck dude!

Really strong team. Mathews in the 3rd round is crazy-- and if it's a PPR league, it's a sin. I will also respectfully disagree with your statement that he needs to get rid of Royster. In a 14 team league, I can guarantee you that there's nobody on waivers worth picking up. Royster will likely sit on his bench all season anyway so there's no rush to replace him. He's his RB5. Even if there was a rush to replace him, he is a very intriguing player and so I think it's too soon to write him off. Just temper your expectations, that's all. |
