Rinne is a top 5 goalie and those ain't easy to get via trade. Ellis is interesting as he could put up good numbers if he finds a way to beat out Josi for the spot next to Weber.

That being said, I'd be more than willing to make that trade only if the rest of your team is awesome and set. After looking at your sig, this looks like a must do trade and would actually make you better in the long run. Pacioretty is the tough pill to swallow, but worth it for Rinne in my mind.

This looks to me like Pacioretty plus some other guys for Rinne and Ellis. I think you should jump on this. A goalie like Rinne is not easy to come by and Thomas left you in the lurch, what a jerk.

The way I see it is that aside from Pacioretty your other pieces are easily replaceable, so I see it breaking down to Rinne>>>Pacioretty

hockeyman is on the same train of thought as me. When it comes to making your team better, you have to identify the two best players being traded. Ellis is a stud prospect and the other guys you're giving up are solid, but none are amazing. Macdonald is totally a BAB. Stay away from him, and EJ is so disappointing it's not even funny. Avs fans I know hate him.
