Default whats you order ??

hi guys,

I know its a little bit early but these defensemans are available in my dynasty points only league.

I have lidstrom that retire so one spot is available.
I can also replace T. Kaberle or Joni Pitkanen with one of these guys.

John Carlson is in my farm so he can take one spot.

How would you rank them ??? I dont care if I have to wait 2-3 years for the guy to reach 40-55 pts !

Jake Gardiner
Ian White
Justin Schultz
Brendan Smith
Justin Faulk
Nick Leddy
Slava Voynov
Dmitry Orlov
Dan Hamhuis

thanks guys !!

I find it very hard to evaluate kids who I haven't seen play in 10 NHL games yet.

I like Faulk & Voynov of this group.
I can't peg Schultz & B.Smith until I see them play more at the NHL level.

Based on long-term upside, balanced by closest relevant production and trade value:

1. Schultz (Appears to be headed to VAN - expect 40+ next season!)
2. Faulk (I LOVE his upside and expect him to push 40 next year)
3. B.Smith (Huge upside which can only take a hit if Wings bring in a top D who logs big PP mins)
4. Orlov (The perfect PP QB - once he gets the keys, he'll be a beast)
5. Voynov (Still question his role ultimately but only Doughty stands in his way off producing big offense from the back end)
6. Gardiner (Awesome game but the selection of Morgan Rielly worries me a little and Dion will always load up on PP time)
7. Leddy (Good skills and wheels - if he can find his niche I like his chances of passing a couple on this list)
.
.
8. White (Solid and reliable but shouldn't be in the mix)
9. Hamhuis (Forget about him)

Long-term: Orlov, Smith, and Schultz top my list.. Forget about Hamhuis, he will never be a huge point producer..

It's possible but I truly think by the time Rielly is ready, Gardiner will have established himself. I'd imagine a scenario akin to Doughty/Voynov. Now hear me out, as I'm not comparing the two pairs to each other. Just saying they can both have good fantasy impacts playing on the same team.
