I have a guy in my league whom keeps asking for Suter in trades. We have a trade worked out, but the only sticking point is he's asking Suter and I keep offering Enstrom. It's obvious he has wood for him, but am I overvaluing him?
G/A/+-, no other cats. Who has more fantasy relevance? Last edited by TeamRamrod; 08-26-2012 at 02:14 PM. |

Really? I'd rather give up Suter lol. Enstrom is a 50-point guy in my books. Suter is being hyped going to Minnesota IMO.

Definitely give up Suter. Enstrom is a known commodity and PP machine that will put up 50 points. I wouldn't be surprised to see Suter land on a 35 point level this year adjusting in Minny.

Taking Enstrom really limits you in two of the only three categories you said you have in this league: G, A, +/- Which is an...interesting setup lol
But Enstrom isn't going to have a good +/- rating. Suter might put up fewer assists but is bound to have a solid +/-. I'd go with Suter.

Tough call. Enstrom looks to be pretty consistent at 40-50 pts. His +/- is not that stable though, anywhere from +14 down to -10 in the past 4 years.
Suter seemed to step it up last year. He and Weber powered the #1 PP unit in the league (although Nashville was in the bottom 3rd for years before last). He has a lot to work with in Minny, but may need time to deal with the pressure and settle in. Suter's perceived value may be at its highest right now with all of the Minny excitement, and if you aren't sold on him, now is as good as time as any to move him. Will he not give up Enstrom? I wouldn't budge on that request. I think it actually is a fair trade at the moment. Last edited by TOCanadafan; 08-27-2012 at 12:36 PM. |

This is tough as both players are comparable and I expect Suter to do a little better offensively in Minnesota. That said, I'd still rather have the guy with a couple 50 point seasons under his belt - Enstrom.

Enstrom for me as well, Suter is a better "real life" player than fantasy player in my books, and his stock has never been higher.

I would also have to side with Enstrom here. Also if the guy is valuing Suter higher anyways that he represents a better return on investment for you. As a side point, I think Suter and Weber were the focal points of the PP in Nashville and therefore benefited production wise. I don't expect that Suter will be a trigger man or the focal point of the minnesota PP, so it wouldn't surprise me if he had similar or worse production this season compared to last.

Suter's name may hold a little more cache right now, but little Tobias takes the cake here. keep little T.

Enstrom is a great buy low, while Suter is a great sell high.
