I was planning to start Vick against Cleveland as they're pretty awful.

Then I saw that Rivers is going against Oakland and their D is supposedly even worse. I do know that Rivers tends to start terribly at the beginning of the season and then gets it back together at the end.

Who would you all start?

The projected points pouts Vick slightly higher. I'm not starting Peyton Manning as I'm worried about him starting against the Steelers defense.

I do love Rivers this year (as I said in your other thread), but you gotta play the better option here. And yes....he is a notorious slow starter.

Thanks, it's nice having some backup advice reinforcing my thoughts. I'm dying to get a guy like Foster on my team as the guy I'm playing against in week 1 has Rodgers, Petersen, and Forte. So I might get screwed lol. Hope my WRs kill his enough to even it out.

I don't know, vick has looked weak this pre season.
I'd start Rivers, and know he's going to finish the game at least.
Until Vick puts a few together, those Ribs bother me.

I'd take Rivers, simply on health - better the solid medium from Rivers with good upside than the beaten down possibles with Vick.

I'd go Vick. Owned him in a couple leagues the past few. Phi has the opposite starting issue that SD has. They always come out like gang-busters the first 5,6 games or so.
