Default Just got this team need to choose 17 keepers help wanted.

Just picked this team so I need your help it's 50$ fee per year and I want to win in 2-3 year whit your great advice and my thought...

So who would you keep in this league H2H keeper league keep 17 whit 10 teams whit those stat Fowards = G, A, P, +/-, PIM, PPG, PPP, SHP, SOG, FW, GWG and GOALIES = GS, W, L, Save%, GAA, SO, Shots, Saves. Dress 3 fowards line 6D and 2 goalies

There is the team Giroux, Toews, Eberle, Semin, Couture, M.Koivu, Pomminville, Hartnell, Marchand, Ribeiro, Ryan, Dubinsky, Burn, Wideman, Seabrook, Mcdonagh, L.Schen, M.Staal, Lilles, Corvo, Souray, Rinne, Backstrom, Hedberg.

Farm : Nick Palmieri, Yemelin, Enroth, Etem, Ryan Ellis, Marchessaut, Cormier.

I was thinking Giroux, Toews, Eberle, Semin, Couture, M.Koivu, Pomminville, Hartnell, Marchand, Ribeiro, Ryan, Burn, Wideman, Seabrook, Mcdonagh, Rinne, Backstrom. That give me 11 fowards 4D and 2G it's enough in this kind of league, my plan is to trade 1 or 2 foward for some good D because I don't see good defs after those 4 so I prefer too keep good foward and draft or trade for 1-2 DEFS after that...

Thank again in advance for your help and REP for good comments as always...

I agree mostly with the 17 that you've chosen. I think Dubinsky might have a good bounceback year, but I wouldn't keep him over any of the 11 forwards you've selected...

D is the area that you need to improve on the most... Most of the D that you've listed are much better in leagues that count more peripheral stats like PIM, BS or HIT, your settings are mostly points based in which the D that you own aren't great for. The only change that I might suggest is Souray for McDonagh...

The Ducks have no one on the blue line that's a real puck mover/shooter. Fowler is ok, but Souray is much more experienced and more proven to move the puck on the PP with Getz, Perry and Selanne. I'd strongly consider him over the two-way McDonagh... Souray could have a 50+ point season if things go right, where as I don't think McDonagh has the capacity to be even close to that.

I like your keepers overall but i think you need to look at your league stats.
-Goalies are PREMIUM in your league. Trade to get better options than Backstom ect.

-Your D aren't really awesome in a non hits league. try to gain better points guys.

outside of that your O is in real good shape.

cheers!

Do you automatically keep your farm team or are they part of the protections. I would definitely keep Ellis as one of your D in this format as he is going to get an opportunity in Nashville and may end up on the top PP this year.
As stated above I would definitely try to upgrade your goalies as it looks like your goalies accumulate approx 40% of you stats. See who has extra goalies and don't worry about overpaying a little because 2 goalies carry a lot of weight in your league.

There are a lot of D that get 30-40 pts so unless you can get some one that can get 50+ I wouldn't overspend on D. Draft some up and comers if you want to win in the next year or 2. I would keep Souray as well as he is going to a good situation in Anaheim, and if he gets off to a hot start I would trade him quick, as he is a bandaid boy.

Overall not a bad team to start with.
