I was high on avery when i thought he was gonna end up playing with shanahan on the second line, expected 60 pts and 200 pims. Now with Gomez and Drury there I\'m wondering where Avery fits, as much as I like and need his pims I dont particularly need a 3rd liner. Any ideas on where he\'s going to fit in that new powerful Ranger lineup.

I would have to think that Drury-Shanny-Avery makes for a good 2nd line. playmaking-scoring-grit. Jagr-Gomez-Straka will be unreal. I really like Mara as the QB for the PP for next season aswell.

You do have to remember that the rangers also have Ryan Callahan (a dobber darkhorse favorite) and Cherepanov (one of the more nhl ready players from this draft), that could both make an impact as soon as next season. Avery could very well be bumped down to the third line if these guys hit their strides.
