Ennis was a monster down the stretch last year for Buffalo
The addition of Ott on the 2nd line will give Ennis more offensive zone starts (Ott will play a lot of defensive zone starts I feel thus freeing Ennis up)

Stastny is 1 of 3 good centers on Colorado and depending how Colorado dishes out wingers/ice time/offensive zone time, Stastny is a bit of a wild card IMO.

That being said Stastny has proven himself before and is probably more consistent but points only next year I see Ennis as having the higher upside.

I would take Ennis because the risk is worth it for a boarderline keeper.
I like this post personally. I pretty much feel the same way, can't decide between Ennis and Stastny. I'd probably go Stastny, but I'm really worried about his opportunity to reach his upside on Colorado.

^ Agreed.
Ennis for me. For what it's worth, our "guide" has Ennis outscoring Stastny, not to mention his higher 3YP and upside. Guess I'm in the minority here, but I have a good feeling about Ennis this year. He has already been on the record saying how much he loves the C position as it gives him more freedom on the ice to use his skillset. He felt a little more hindered on wing. He found his sweetspot in the last 20 games last season.

I'd keep Stastny. Ennis could pass him but not by enough to make me take a risk, I'll take the more proven commodity here in Stastny.

Stastny for me as well.

I know Ennis is the #1 in Buffalo now, but I wouldn't keep him just based on that alone. No guarantee that will remain the status quo forever.
