I own Rask, Hiller and Theodore right now. Fasth was just dropped. Do I drop Theodore for Fasth and roll with Rask + ANH goalies? Or is Fasth not worth dropping a starter in Theodore (for a subpar defensive Florida team)?
My skaters (that I really don't want to drop) are: C: Thornton, M. Koivu, Roy (start 2) W: Kovalchuk, St. Louis, Iginla, Hodgson, Fleischmann, Briere, Wheeler (start 4) D: Phaneuf, Wideman, Streit (start 3) Need some advice please!!!!

If I were you id almost consider dropping Hiller for fasth. The guys awesome and showing why Hiller is done as the starter on anh. I just picked him up myself but I only had to drop Harding... Pretty much a no brainer. At least theo is a starter for sure in fla.

i WAS a hiller owner. was beat out on waivers for Fasth. I dropped hiller yesterday to take advantage of hedberg/vokoun matchup (already owned vokoun). i think i'll drop hedberg tomorrow, pick up theodore or holtby.

I'd drop Theo for Fasth to lockup the Ducks tandem along with Rask. Theo hasn't been setting the world on fire in his own right and has other capable goalies in the organization to possibly worry about himself (assuming that the Cats continue to suck it up for too much longer).

Seriously man, if you're going to give advice on this forum, get your facts straight. Look at the year to year performance and you'd see that Hiller generally starts slow and almost always finishes strong: 2011/12 January 2012 - 7Ws, 1.55GAA, 0.944SV% February 2012 - 8Ws, 2.15, 0.912 March 2012 - 5Ws, 2.18, 0.926 2010/11 December 2010 - 8Ws, 2.12, 0.937 January 2011 - 7Ws, 2.24, 0.936 Then he was hit with the vertigo. 2009/10 January 2010 - 9Ws, 2.37, 0.925 February 2010 - 5Ws, 2.44, 0.933 I'm not saying people shouldn't consider picking up Fasth if they get the chance, that's obvious, but "drop Hiller for Fasth now cause Hiller's done"? After Fasth has played all of5 games, the last of which he allowed 5 goals, many through what is fast becoming a noticeable and exploitable five-hole? Not the most sensible advice in my view.

But it's not premature to say Theodore is killing all of his owners. I'd roll with Fasth, even if he only starts 50 - 60% of games, over Theodore, who's beyond abysmal in points-only formats as well as leagues that include peripherals.

Agreed, Fasth over Theodore is a good move right now.

Thanks for the advice guys. I went with Fasth for Theodore to complete my Anaheim tandem along with Rask.
Theodore's 4-5 record, with a 3.41 GAA and 0.890 SV% just wasn't cutting it (and yes, I'm aware Hiller is rocking a 3.69 GAA and 0.872 SV%). I took a look at his point totals in my league: 1/19 (CAR): 12.23 (5-1 W) - on my bench 1/21 (OTW): -0.58 (0-4 L) - on my bench 1/24 (OTW): 3.65 (1-3 L) 1/26 (PHI): -4.65 (1-7 L) 1/29 (TB): -3.70 (2-5 L) 1/31 (WPG): 3.95 (6-3 W) 2/3 (BUF): 2.83 (4-3 W) 2/7 (PHI): 7.75 (3-2 W) 2/9 (WSH): -6.40 (0-5 L) So a grand total of 15.08 points in 9 games (1.68 fantasy points per game). Of course I had Theodore on my bench for his best game of the season, so he's actually given me 3.43 points in 7 games (0.49 fantasy points per game). Compared to Fasth: 1/26 (NSH): 5.28 (3-2 W) 2/1 (MIN): 8.85 (3-1 W) 2/4 (SJ): 8.63 (2-1 W) 2/6 (COL): 13.98 (3-0 W) 2/8 (DAL): 0.48 (1-3 L) 2/9 (STL): 0.85 (6-5 W) Total: 38.07 (6.35 fantasy points per game). I obviously don't expect Fasth to consistently put up numbers like this, but with Anaheim playing well and Florida not, I felt it was better to have both Anaheim goalies instead of trying to guess who would maintain the starting gig in Anaheim and hope Theodore/Florida turned it around. Thanks again everyone.
