STUDS Win Some, Lose....er, Win Some More.... Team props out to the Chicago Blackhawks for jumping to a franchise best 5-0 start. Special thanks to Corey Crawford and his 1.99 GA and .923 SV%. I should also mention that it's nice to see Patty Kane - back from his stint on the National Frat Boy Beer Pong Tournement - jump to nine points on the season. If this trend continues for the 'Hawks, Shakedown will be able to purge his V!@gra prescription. I'm Not Dead Yet... Seems to be the trend now, oh, for the past three maybe four seasons, fantasy GMs like to opine of the demise of Patrick Marleau. Alas, he endures. With 2G and 1A vs. the Avalanche, 4 PPG/3PPA and totaling 11 pts on the season, Mr. Marleau is more than relevant. Sell High! Matt Read and his first NHL hat trick was the biggest factor in the Flyers win over the Florida Panthers. In other news, Bryzgalov owners across the nation stepped down off the ledge...for now, anyway. Is This Guy For Real...??? Uh, yep...'fraid so. Justin-Friggin-Schultz (his actual name). 1G/1A last night to pad his stats to 6 pts on the year, 25 TOI and all the PPTOI a fantasy GM can handle. Most Hono[u]rable Mentions Michael Del Zotto - 2 assists...and much rejoicing. DUDS No, really, you shouldn't have... Ryan O'Byrne earns the Douche of the Day award for his efforts during the Avs mid-afternoon loss. Going out of your way, alllllllll the way across the ice, to retaliate against what was a clean hit....while wearing a visor (see: new rule), and consequently, giving your opposition tons of PP time (to earn 2 goals, nonetheless), will ALWAYS earn you a special spot on my 'Duds' list. The Rodney Dangerfield Award Goes To.... The only good thing the Toronto Maple Leafs have accomplished thus far, is distracting the rest of the world from the Buffalo Sabres inept play. I suppose a "Thanks..." is in order. "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?" Ryan Nugent-Hopkins managed but 2 SOG and a 31% FO last night. Ryan, buddy, 3A on the year might be stellar for George Parros, but we expect more from you. K?
