Default Advice would be appreciated

In my signature I've posted my team which I'm feeling iffy about. This league is a friends league which I dominated the draft of last year but slacked on drafting this year. Any advice for improvement would be awesome. Here's a list of some of the best forwards available according to last year's results of our point system.

Burrows (LW,RW)
Alfy (RW)
Plekanec (C)
Weiss (C)
Purcell (RW)
Krejci (C)
Stepan (C)
Clowe (LW,RW)
N. Foligno (LW)
M. Read (RW)
Grabovski (C)
Erat (RW)
Roy (C)

Other forwards I am targeting based on how I think they'll do are:
Hogdson (C,RW)
JVR (LW)
Zajac (C)
Okposo (RW)

Defensemen out there:
Hedman
I. White
Bogosian
Liles
E. Johnson
Leddy
Gardiner
Ellis

Input on any of this is appreciated, but especially on whether I should drop one of McD or Souray for Hedman or another D man... or to use that 5th D spot for a forward? Drop a forward for a different one? Thanks!

Too bad hits don't count for more; otherwise guys like Clowe would be owned...lol... I can't believe ELLIS and GARDINER are available. I'd drop McD and Souray for them, especially with goals being worth 3 pts. Those two are too dynamic to just be available...smh. GRAB 'EM, quick!!!

Thanks for the input. Do you think those guys are better for this season or in a keeper only? They obviously have the ability to put up points in seasons ahead but Ellis especially seems low on the depth chart.

Bump. Just as an update to the original post I made, Hedman and Burrows have been taken. With Voracek not aligned to start on the Flyers top line, I am also now considering if I should be taking Hodgson over him. I'm assuming Cole has more value in this format than both of them as well. Also, I'm still pulling hairs about defense, with whether to have 5 or 4 and if Souray is a better fit than another forward. Thanks if anyone feels up to this analysis, as I am getting in my own head quite a bit!
