I am up in my league's prospect draft, and these two look to be my best two options left. I am leaning toward Scheifele, but Kreider looks good also. Who would you choose for the present and future?

Scheifele would be my pick, I'm not a huge fan of Kreider.

This one is tough, have to leave towards Scheifele though as he should become the top line center in Winnipeg with ample powerplay time. I wouldn't expect either to help you much this season.

I would go with Scheifele as well - much less competition and IMO higher upside. Neither will get a lot of points this year, probably similar numbers but I would expect Scheifele to be putting up decent numbers within a couple of years.

Scheifele
Need to see more from Kreider the playoff was insanely impressive but sometimes players just get hot. |

I would take Kreider here, although I do like Scheifele as well. It's true there's less competition in Winnipeg, but I still prefer Kreider both short and long term.

Kreider now by a good margin, but with time Scheifele will close the gap, and could very difinitely be the better option in the future.
Personally I go with the better present day option, and that's Kreider, on top of that he could be the better future player as well. |
