Fowler
Hedman
Smith
...
Leddy

This is a tough one because Anaheim and Detroit are two teams I worry about.

Anaheim has both Perry & Getzlaf with expiring contracts this summer. They've already won a cup and done their partying in Cali... why stay? Why not try something new? I can foresee them both leaving for another team - just to try something different. In points-only, a lot of D value hinges around the forwards and the PP-quality. Fowler without Perry & Getzlaf isn't so good anymore. On pure skill, I like him best.

I like that Hedman has Stamkos & MSL & Vinny. I think Carle will get the majority of PP-time this year, but Hedman will factor in soon enough.

I worry about Detroit. I've posted before, but I could really see them not spending to the cap like they have. The Wings do not have a young team any more. I think they have a decline on the horizon and that will impact Smith's production.

Leddy is not a guy I see in the same group as these guys. He had a nice year with 11 PPA, not sure he can repeat that. I have doubts.

I'd actually argue that Hedman would be #1 on that list. He'll have Stamkos with him for what should be a long time. That alone would be worth +5 to +10 points a year. Anaheim scares me. Unless Boudreau can get the team firing on all (4 or 5) cylinders sooner rather than later, Getz, Perry, Ryan, and Fowler will not have each other around.

Good write up....

Smith

Leddy

I think too many people have soured on Hedman already. Good time to try to get him in your keeper I think. I tried, no dice.
