Can we all agree to just write the main players in a deal in the title (Exe Seguin for Hall; Benn/+ for Giroux). Not a big deal, but I personally stear clear of posts that say 'Big Trade', 'Need help with this deal', or 'Quick trade advice'. Also nobody cares about rep.

To me this falls under "suggested forum usage". A bad title could lead to fewer or no replies. If people avoid those threads, then hopefully the author learns and changes his approach.

Lately with no hockey on the table it's kinda tough to not eventually see all threads though...

i totally agree,

few more things:
include the information about the league or state where the information is in your signature (ie it is the 2nd team in my sig)
provide some context. Mention a few FA players out there. Burminstrov has less value if most of hte blue chip prospects are unowned.
give as much information as you can. Most of it will be asked for eventually if it is not a slam dunk deal.

I personally have no issues with people writing "Big Trade" or "ANYTHING BOLD HERE" in their title to their thread. Whatever it takes to draw peoples attention to their thread is fine with me. I really dont see the difference.

I also write *rep* in some of my titles too. Again, I dont see the issue.

I will look at them all, just because someone writes something funky in their title shouldnt deter anyone from reading what they want.

Seriously though, I don't think rules should be put in place for this kind of stuff. It's not needed. A bit of freedom and creativity never hurt anyone. Also, I think that people get the hang of it pretty fast that it's good if they have the relevant info handy and that's really the only important thing for other people to respond properly.
