Just to toss a flip side on this, I wouldn't say that cutting so much weight is necessarily a good thing. With how much goalies sweat each game it is important to have water and energy reserves. That means a certain number of fat cells. Lehner is also used to moving around at 220. This may make him faster but it could also mess with his timing. I could definitely see this having a positive impact in training camp but I would be concerned about endurance issues over the course of a full season.

Of course, there are not too many negatives in a player showing a dedication to his body and his craft. I still see him as a blue chip guy. I just don't like the idea of a player's value swinging tremendously because of weight loss since there are so many other aspects to the game.
