He's doing everything right, but I can't help but feel he's going to be the lonely 3rd wheel type guy putting up clutch 70-75 point seasons down the road. While Toews maintains his defensive responsibility while learning to add more and more offense to it.
I feel the complete opposite. I think Eberle is the 1st wheel, or 1A, for Edmonton going forward. Just wait until Edmonton gets some D (both offensive and defensive, if that ever happens), and those young players mesh together even more, adding in Magnus, Omark, etc.
Eberle has a better upside for his skill set and role, let alone the young players that are around him for years to come
