As mediocre as Halak has been since returning from injury and as good as Allen has been in relief, there really is no way he takes the starting role. Let alone the huge contract difference, Halak is a proven commodity with a very strong playoff record. I just don't see how a coach who relies on veterans, like Hitchcock, goes into the playoffs with the expectations the Blues have riding an unproven rookie goalie
