Default Loktionov Bad Luck?

I'm curious to know why people seem to think that the only thing between this guy and a regular NHL gig has anything to do with luck. We don't use these same sorts of arguments for most other 2008 drafted forwards who haven't made the show (eg. Colborne, Beach, Boychuck, Nemisz, etc). These guys are 1st rounders who haven't made it and most people have written off the most of them so why are people clinging to an undersized 5th rounder who just got traded for peanuts? I really don't get it. The cream of the 2008 forward class has risen.....move on

My rule of thumb is that any prospect who's let go for next to nothing has next to no chance of panning out. Every so often a guy like Grabner throws a wrench in this philosophy but it has worked for me 95% of the time.
