The big thing about Atkinson is (a) his compete level, which translates into tons of SOG and scoring chances, and (b) the opportunity he will most likely be given despite being so young, precisely because what he brings is exactly what the Blue Jackets need given the rest of their forward corps. My feeling is he'll be one of those guys that notches 3+ SOG/game consistently, and that will mean 25+ goals per year will always be within reach and some years he'll hit the 30s. His size will not stop him from producing. That's why I too made him a high draft pick this past draft.
