He could have been higher, but in the end I decided it's better to give proven guys the edge over newbies (which is part of the reason why I have Braun over Trout). There are some exceptions here, no list is perfect.
For Ellsbury, he just needs to stay healthy and he will score a ton of runs, steal lots of bases and chip in with some hone runs and RBI.
I do like B.J. Upton, but he needs to hit for a higher average to be a top 20 guy. Since hitting .300 in 2007, He hasn't come anywhere near that mark.
2008- .273
2009- .241
2010- .237
2011- .243
2012- .256
I do have to give him credit, as he looks to be breaking into the .260/.270 range. We will see though, his inconsistencies are a bit worrisome.
