This is one of those good ones to hum and haw over.
WINGER... this is so hard to fill...
Centre - much easier to fill...
Tavares - as close to knowing that you got something awesome as it gets
Neal - pretty sure you got something awesome...
Age isn't a factor.
Centres need to outscore wingers by 10 points (centres score more points & wingers are rarer).
I'm not going to dwell on the keeper thoughts. The big pieces are too important and the final keeper spot can be worked and re-worked simple enough.
Extended CATS I'd have to review carefully, to determine if this pulled one guy ahead by a bit.
Salary isn't overly a factor. Neal is a steady $5.0M while Tavares rises to $6.0M. Both are signed for a good period of time.
Both are in good situations to be successful. It's nice that Tavares leads, while Neal is second or third fiddle (if he's a third fiddle it's by far the nicest third fiddle in the NHL).
Age isn't a factor.
I have Tavares. There's a good chance I'd do this... wings are tough to fill... (particularly in straight points).
