As good as Buff and Enstrom are (and they both played great) they can't mask the loss of Bogosian. Aside from that top pairing the Jets D looked pretty poor to a man. Postma did show offensive flair, but he also handed Ottawa a costly goal.
Wheeler wasn't himself (his timing and hands just weren't there), and Jokinen didn't look great in his first game with the team, unfortunately. Pavs let in a couple soft ones, too.
On the positive side, up front I liked what I saw from Ladd, Little, Burmistrov and Kane (for the most part). I wondered if Ladd would look sluggish early in the season, not having played any games and staying home with his (then) pregnant wife, but he was on his game from the get-go.
