Either way I think you have to try to find space for Carlson and I do think he's a better option than a few of your other D. The new Head Coach in WAS will open up the offense a bit. I was reading this morning that WAS's defense coach is encouraging his guys to be pushing the puck up the ice...all of them. Couple this with the absence of Wideman and the injury to Orlov and this just bodes well for his offensive skill set to get every opportunity to succeed.
I don't think Visnovsky's head is in North America and would understand that switch.
I don't see enough PP time for Bieksa to ever duplicate 40+ again.
McBain will be lucky to be sitting #3 on CAR D depth chart.
I would understand switching any one of these 3 out for Carlson.
