Hodgson's back/neck injury was mismanaged in pretty much the same manner as Crosby's concussion/neck injury. The team doctors got it wrong (though in fairness it was an odd one) and when he got outside help it got fixed and he got back to normal(ish). The difference is, Crosby has more clout in these matters.

Once he was back I think he pushed hard for an increased role (when talking to coaches/management) which rubbed the coaches and management the wrong way. Vigneault likes 'his guys' and veterans... and Hodgson was neither. Gillis commented about spending more time on Hodgson's 'issues' than anyone else's. That, plus the injury contention, pegged him as a problem and he got moved out.
I still think it was a mistake, but then again I wanted Vigneault fired two years ago (and still get bugged by some of his decisions).

My bet for this year is that Hodgson outpoints anyone not named Sedin on the Canucks since Kesler is injured. Maybe Burrows or Edler beat him, it'll be close.

Seriously though, how does Booth get hurt in the physical?
