Fair question mate. In terms of storing beer for the purpose of allowing it bottle condition, the answer is that it really depends on the beer. As a general range, 50-60 is ideal. I'd try to not store it warmer than 70. If you have got an immense beer like Westy 12, you will be rewarded by storing it in the 55-60 range. You can store a 10%abv beer for quite a while like that and it will continue to improve for 5-10 years.

Storing it in the fridge wont do it any harm at all. It'll just condition much, much slower than it would at 55-60 degrees. A beer like Westy 12 probably needs a year of aging (at 55-60) before drinking it. I dont know if they age the beer before selling it. I would think they would, but I dont know for sure.
