Gerbe spinal surgery over summer
From rotoworld (Source: WIVB.com): "Nathan Gerbe revealed that he had spinal surgery over the summer. Gerbe was only able to resume skating in December. "It's been a good time for me to get healthy," said Gerbe. "I had spine surgery in the summer... I'm just starting to catch my groove and get strong again, and hopefully I can get back at some point this season." It's not known if he would be healthy in time for a theoretical Jan. 19 start to the 2013 campaign."
Spinal surgery - that sucks. Not to make light of this, but I wonder if it was the same procedure that Ethan Hawke's character had in Gattaca to lengthen his legs...
