Just a suggestion but don't mind what you decide. How about only three bench slots (1 per position)? That way, it might encourage a few more moves rather than people just sitting on their teams and using bench players for injuries/slumps etc. I know it's meant to be low maintenance, but thought a little more activity would be more fun, while still keeping the settings simple.
