The Jets would have to eat most of the contract and be willing to accept a late round pick (5th if they're lucky). It doesn't seem likely.
What does make sense is Sanchez staying in NY and them bringing in a veteran to compete for the job.
I'm curious if Sanchez can salvage his career. The guy hasn't had much to use in terms of weapons (kerley as a go to guy, perfect example). If the Jets were to go out and spend the money on a wallace, bowe, jennings plus get holmes back as a wr2 and have Hill make strides in his second year....I think Sanchez can be a top 15 qb (same ballpark as flacco)
