I felt a little jealous after NWO's post, so I went to the beer store! Picked up the following:
Yakima Scarlet by Liberty Brewing
($9.99 500ml): Its a new one. Haven't heard of it before, but its local and I try to taste all the local beers. By local, I mean NZ. This is basically all I could dig up about it. http://www.regionalwines.co.nz/beer....-scarlet-500ml
Double Trouble by Tuatara
($12.99 650ml) http://tuatarabrewing.co.nz/range/double-trouble/
The label is old skool 3-D and it comes with the glasses to see it! hahaha Here's a bit about the beer:
Pacific Jade to bitter (70 IBU up front), then Pacific Jade, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, and Zythos late in the boil for Flavour and aroma. Then Nelson Sauvin for the first dry-hop, and Simcoe and Zythos for the second dry-hop. Calculated at 167 IBU.
Galaxy IPA by Croucher Brewing
GALAXY IPA is a highly hopped India Pale Ale, it is a showcase of the Australian Galaxy hop. Released 2012.
Appearance - a light golden coloured ale, with a frothy white head.
Aroma - Pineapple… big time! The trademaek flavour and aroma of galaxy is Pineapple. Weihenstephan Weizen yeast delivers the aroma and flavour of this very special beer. Banana and clove leaps out of this classic Bavarian style - underlined with a vanilla and a scrumptious biscuity malt character.
Body & Mouthfeel - There is enough malt sweetness to carry the massive hop load, with a significant bitter finish to slap you about the cheeks and tempt you toward another!
