When I get on an elevator, I push the button and then go stand at the back - or on the opposite side. Not one of these people did that.
Out of sheer consideration, you should make room for somebody else to get on and push their button.
It's like, if you are standing at the photocopier at work... and you maybe hear that somebody is printing something while you are making copies... well, you should back away so the person doesn't have to reach past your crotch to get your paper. At least I do... unless she's pretty. LOL.

What made me feel like it was possibly staged was the fact that there didn't seem to be any reaction from the people until the lights started to flicker but that didn't usually happen until after a few seconds and the floor counter had already started to indicate that they were moving. That elevator was definitely not moving so either everyone was oblivious to the non-moving elevator or they simply didn't react to it.
