Deadwood - nothing has ever touched this show for me. I thought the story lines were fantastic, the attention to detail was tremendous and the characters were all spot on in terms of seeming real (character development is the most important thing to me in movies/tv). I agree with you regarding Deadwood. It was an excellent show.
As others have mentioned, Band of Brothers is one of my all time favorites, one of the few series I have watched over and over. I didnt list it because I considered it more of a mini-series than a TV series.
