My plans with this team are to:
a) upgrade Dubynk if possible, I dont feel this is 100% necassary but I would be more comfortable if i could run a more proven combo
b) add one more proven dman minimum, I feel if i am going to be competitive this year i will need a bit more depth on defence.
c)Trade a couple of my younger players for veteran forwards that should be reliable to post consistant stats.
One team in this league ended up with very weak goaltending (only Holtby) after the draft so I targeted this GM offering Reimer/Couturier for Franzen. The GM accepted this deal and i think it was a very safe trade for both of us. Being weekly starts and my intentions to upgrade Dubynk I likely would not have started Reimer often and the upgrade from Couturier to Franzen this year will really help me push for the offensive stats. Franzen also is a LW/RW which sticks to my original game plan from the draft of dual eligibility.
Next move is to shore up my defense.....
