Uggla's been downright brutal.
He was 9/78 in July... batting average = .115
Fortunately, he can still take a walk... so he has some real-MLB value.
But now is a decent time to really consider dropping him. (always depends on who is available, of course)
#1. Atlanta doesn't play Thursday.
#2. Then ATL has 3 games against PHI including Halladay & Lee
#3. And the month of Sept includes more games against PHI, WAS (8/45) this year, MIL (3/11), MIA (9/40), NYM (7/35).
Even when he does break-out (IF, big IF) he'll be down in the line-up. He's also hitting in the 8 spot and much less likely to score runs.
Yeesh.
