Yup, I was actually thinking about it a couple weeks ago haha.

Gotta admit now that I've seen him play with some regularity I'm pretty damn impressed. Just wish I had watched more of him last season.

    Fair enough man,
I haven't seen as many Flyers games as I would have liked to, hopefully they give me a chance to see a few more ... usually when I watch Flyers games I only keep an eye out for Leino and Carter cuz I owned those guys this year but I'm going to keep an eye out on Giroux from now on.

    Thanks again!

Thanks for the explanation. I'm inexperienced with keeper leagues, Usually when I post I make sure that the OP knows that I'm not as experienced as most of the other guys on the boards, but I thought that Kovalchuk was a better keep just because Giroux would be easier to re-draft and Kovalchuk may garner more value in a trade. On top of that there's always the chance he returns to form (although your explanation may have questioned that).

I was thinking that he could line with Elias and Tedenby. I know Elias is starting to get older, but Kovalchuk hasn't really needed someone to help him create his own scoring chances. If anything I thought being bumped to the 2nd line would help him because the other teams #1 defense line would have to cover the ZZ line.

I guess time will tell, but I appreciate you helping me out. If you ever see any of my posts and you feel that there's something that I'm missing feel free to let me know, I don't take offence to it I appreciate it.

    Hey FantasyGuru,

This talk about Kovalchuk vs. Giroux and how strongly people feel that Giroux > Kovalchuk has really made me reconsider my choice.
Could you explain to me why so many people think Giroux? Am I undervaluing Giroux or overvaluing Kovalchuk (or both) because I still feel that Kovalchuk is an elite option.
