Sounds really practical. You came with this method all on your own? Do you use any of Dobbers tools to establish this baseline?

I decided most of 15 years ago, I had to work out a method to value players against each other. This was what I came up with. I only do five year projections with it, but by laying a base line which compares positions, I find that it helps me to decide on big deals.

Essentially, the base lines I laid out (they're a little different in every league) mean that a player below the base line has little or no value. The league really doesn't use players below the base line. I've been known to use a player below base line for various reasons (he's free to me, he's close to the baseline, I own the guy already, he's a young guy on the rise). Essentially, whether we realize it or not, we're always trying to eliminate the guys that are below base line anyways.

It helps decipher complicated trades. How do you compare these four elements to those four elements. It gets VERY TRICKY.

I have been quite successful in my 12 team league. I think 'ABOVE THE BAR' has helped me a great deal.

I saw your post about the "above the bar" theory. Where did you get this from and how did you get your projections?
