UH OH! It's the quarterfinals of the Cage Match Rookie Tournament!
If you missed the opening round do not fret because you can still help choose the champion. Hopefully you know the drill with these but just in case let's brake it down. Each week there will be four matchups for you to choose a winner. The winner moves on to the next round. The last player standing is the top rookie. The criteria for you to vote on are simple: - No goalies - No defensemen - No positions - Points only keeper league with one caveat - Don't be a perpetually rebuilding knucklehead. No one has ever won a fantasy league with just potential so value this season ABSOLUTELY matters. I cannot stress this enough. Vote your hearts out! #1 Nail Yakupov vs. #4 Mikhail Grigorenko #2 Mikael Granlund vs. #3 Alex Galchenyuk #2 Vladimir Tarasenko vs. #6 Jakob Silfverberg

Close one but even with Conacher playing so well Hub is right there behind him. Huberdeau for me.

Very close. Long term, I see Huberdeau having more success (points) than Conacher. Interesting situation with Florida and the state of the vets and rookies. Seems as though there is a battle of when Huberdeau will take over for Weiss. Will Weiss still be a Panther after the trade deadline?
With the depth and quality of the top two lines in Tampa to speed up and complement Conacher's development, I have to pick Conacher.

Huberdeau, it's his team to inherit. And I have to wonder if Conacher can maintain his current sublime level of play on a long term basis, sans St Louis and Lecavalier distracting opposition's top d-pairings.
Conacher is a nice love story, but Huberdeau is the more reliable pick this year and moving forward.

I'd also go with Huberdeau. Conacher nice (and have him on my roster) but he rides shotgun with the Tampa top dogs -- a nice place to be -- whereas Huberdeau owns the driver seat on the Panthers long term and is just the better offensive talent.
