Can you please share some insight on Valentin Zykov.
He looked quite impressive in the top prospects game and I wonder if he could be a sleeper in the upcoming entry draft. |

Teravainen. Purely high risk, high reward? Or is he a guy you fully expect to draw in and be at least a 60 point producer at some point in his career? Thx!

Posted this in the trade forum, then I remembered this thread was here and thought "hey Dean would be the guy to go to for Gally advice!"
League in sig, a GM has been going bananas over Gally since the draft and pretty much told me to name my price. I said his 1st in 2013 and Ryan Murray would at least be a start. His first could go as high as 1st overall, but is guaranteed no lower than 4th so that gets me into the McKinnon-Drouin-Jones-Barkov tier. I could probably get him to throw in Ryan Sproul or another good prospect as well he's got a legit mancrush on Gally. But it's hard to move Galchenyuk....I really like him and feel he's going to be a star in the future. Of course those four 2013 players I mentioned above should be stars too, but Gally is at least a little more "known" at this point and he's transitioned very well to the NHL. Please DY, any input?

Thanks in advance, Dean!
Of the following players, I get to keep 7 at the end of the year prior to an expansion draft. Who would you keep for the league in my sig, ignoring my team's positional needs? I placed an asterisk next to my decisions, but I'm a little lost after the first 4 or so choices. Markus Granlund *Mikael Granlund *Jonathan Huberdeau Jordan Schroeder Michael St. Croix *Kirill Kabanov Magnus Paajarvi Teemu Pulkkinen Martin Frk Nikita Kucherov Nathan Beaulieu Jonathan Blum *Cody Ceci Adam Clendening *Mathew Dumba Hampus Lindholm *Ryan Sproul *Jonathan Bernier Sami Aittokallio Magnus Hellberg Mikko Koskinen Calvin Pickard

Two more to throw your way Dean since you were so helpful with the other guys. What the heck is wrong with William Butcher and J.T. Compher this year? Was wondering if you've seen them play at all this year? There stock seems to be plumeting.

Loving this thread Youngblood. If you don't mind, what are your thoughts on some guys from the 2011 draft class that haven't really taken drastic steps forward this season.
Zack Phillips (MIN) - 2G, 12A and -13 in the AHL Tomas Jurco (DET) - 6G, 7A and -4 in the AHL Michael St. Croix (NYR) - 28G, 40A and +22 in WHL. Phillips and Jurco seem to have struggled adjusting from their stacked QMJHL team to the AHL. Do these players still project as top 6 forwards for their teams? I'm assuming Phillips ETA is closer than Jurco based on how the Wings treat their prospects? St. Croix isn't scoring at the same pace as he was last year in the WHL. Last year he led this powerhouse in scoring by a fair margin. This year, he is 3rd. Is this due to Henrik Samuelsson coming into his own? Do you see this guy playing in the NHL as a top 6 forward in the future? |

Jason Zucker - will he become a productive NHLer and why?
Kyle Jean - now that he's been playing for a while in the AHL, do you have any new insights/thoughts on him?
