Default Parise vs. Perry

For the multi-cat league in sig.

I know history sways this match-up in Perry's favour, but Parise's line has just exploded out of the gates this year (albeit a very small sample size thus far). Also being a keeper, I need to consider that Perry (and Getzlaf) are both UFA's after this season so there's some uncertainty there long term whereas Parise is locked in to this situation. Does Perry's shots-on-goal numbers stay high with the PIMs he brings? Will his PPP totals even come close to rivaling Parise's? Just a few questions on my mind.

Given my team below, which would you try to add? I'd be downgrading a goalie to do it, and only losing a fringe forward.

Perry as 65pts with 100 PIM
is still better than
Parise as 80pts with 0 PIM

Don't forget that Perry is going to sign wherever he wants. (I think he's gone from Anaheim).
He'll look very good in that PHI or TOR or OTT or BOS jersey. Just sayin'.
His value will be sky-high after he signs with a new team.

(and I love Parise.)

What he said. Plus, you never want to overreact to a four/five-game sample size. Buy low, sell high and what not.

Thanks guys, that's plenty of input for my needs. Solid arguments.

Quick question here becuase I've been in the same position myself. Would Perry be a buy low candidate right now? If so, if he can be acquired straight up for Parise would that be a move a GM should make?

I have Parise and I'd like some opinions on the same question...

Someone offered me Parise for my Perry in a league with the usual cats and PIM this past summer when Parise was being pursued by my Wings......I still stuck with Perry.

I own both in 2 different Keeper leagues. I would say that if you count pims I value Perry a little more. But if Parise returns to 45 goal, 90 pt days than we will see. If they are both scoring 65-70 pts then Perry has more value with peripherals
