I think he's the perfect fit for their power play. Maybe he isn't ready to be a big decision-maker but his big righty shot fits perfectly with their power play scheme. Now maybe that changes with Muller in there full time but the Hurricanes don't have anyone better.

Smurf - looks like DET will take more time with Nyquist. Doesn't hurt him long term. Sucks for this year. I haven't ruled him out for this year yet though.
