Default Contract Decisions

Gotta decide on contract lengths (1-4 years) for Karlsson, Subban & Yandle. I keep 7 this year but keeper quantities depend on placing - ranges from 5-8 each year.

Would you give them all 4 year (max) contracts? Worried about Yandle with OEL. They also increase by $5 each year of the contract.

Depends on the alternatives, but I assume you would be able to trade one of them if you get into a cap crunch?

Default Keepers

Two Keeper questions:

Defense: Keeping Chara and Green. Do I keep Streit or Carlson? (Streit +/- scares me)

Goalie: Price, Kiprusoff, Elliot, Smith?

Hi Jeff,

Who are your top 5 players benefiting from the lockout? Players that may have had nagging injuries or still recovering from major surgery last season. Some players may actually extend their career with a break this long.

Thanks,
Cory

Default Thanks for the mailbag

G, A, PPP, +/-, SOG, FOW, Hits

Pick 1 of Getzlaf, Hossa, EStaal, JStaal, Vanek

Crosby & Neal are my other keepers.

I wanna say Hossa but there's that staying healthy thing to worry about.

Streit. Carlson is a defensive stud, but I don't think he gets the top PP time in WSH.

Price easy.

Derek Roy, Taylor Hall, the LA Kings (they had a relatively easy cup run compared to other teams, but still, it is gruelling), Sid the Kid (he is in ridiculous shape right now), and Ryan Kesler (when he comes back).
