In a points only format I would go with Pietrangelo.

For all that gets said about Weber, he has only cleared 50 points once. Pietrangelo wins in points-only but Weber wins in just about any other format.

I, too, would have to go with Piet in a pts-only league as well. Once other cats start getting added on, it quickly goes towards Weber though.

Points only, Pietrangelo. I see him improving on his production and who knows how the loss of Suter and other offensive weapons will impact Weber's production. In a goals or multi-cat format I would probably give Weber the edge though.

I've gotta say... I'm kind of surprised by the overwhelming response for AP here. You guys make it sound like a no-brainer or something.
It's definitely close, and sure Weber has only cleared 50 once - but so has AP. In the last two seasons, Weber has scored 48 and 49 points. That's pretty damn good in my books... I'll take that kind of consistency over gambling on where AP will land after one really good season. If AP delivers another 50+ season then I may have a change of heart, but I know what I'll get with Weber. |

Man, I'm torn here.
Weber is a stud and will be for a long time. Losing Suter worries me a little about his point production, but everything else he does will stay the same except for maybe his plus minus. Pietrangelo had a great season, and seriously almost all of his points came from December on. St. Louis is a team where he's the guy like Weber is, but I like his supporting cast even more. So as much as I like them both, it pains me to take Pietrangelo here as I'm just not as big of a fan, yet.
