all injured while playing overseas. If I'm an owner who intends to pay these guys big money once the lockout is over, this is disconcerning. Some of these injuries aren't too serious, but the more these injuries pile up and the fact they are happening to impact players is serious.

Could these injuries, or fear of these injuries, force the owners into giving a more enticing offer to end this stupid lockout?

I'd imagine that the owners must be somewhat concerned about this. This in combination with the threatened mass exodus of Russian players might force the NHL to play ball. Here's hoping...

I brought up this same discussion with my fellow GMs when Nash got hurt...

One wonders how good the sports trainers/ team docs are over there, and how much attention the North Americans who are there are getting - in terms of preventative maintenance, stretching, training between games, etc.

If I'm an NHL owner, the first place I am looking when I wake up every day is the injury report... EXACTLY like what I do for my fantasy players when there is NHL hockey! ha!
